Sustainable building and insulation materials are key to achieving several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at once, including, for example, decarbonizing the building materials industry, one of the largest C02 emitters, and shaping cities and communities.
CannaBau develops building materials based on hemp lime, a sustainable solution that has been tried and tested for many years, but is not yet widely used in this country. The goal is to bring hemp lime to the market as a standardized building material in large quantities, thus enabling sustainable construction. This idea strikes a chord with the times and regularly generates a great deal of interest during tours of the community.
The team around the founders Gökcan Güney (Dipl.Tech. Process Engineering/ Environmental Protection Engineering) and Roger Dauer (Architect) has been passionately engaged in the production of ecological and sustainable building materials for years.
In the .GUT community, the CannaBau team supports the development of the building materials with advice & action for construction measures and offers further education to the interested public and professional audience.
