Urban development faces many challenges. Cities should provide sufficient affordable housing, offer residents protection from heat and heavy rain, be livable, and become climate-neutral as quickly as possible in terms of transportation, buildings, production, etc. These and many other tasks face cities - but also real estate owners who want to develop their buildings in a way that is as future-oriented and value-enhancing as possible.
PlattenBaum manufactures mobile mini-biospheres, enabling residents in urban areas to grow food independently. The greenhouses collect rainwater, harvest solar power and heat with compost. They are like urban community gardens - except that they function around the year, require significantly less space and are mobile. In this way, the greenhouses make residential properties more attractive and enable users to live close to nature and sustainably in the city.
PlattenBaum was founded by Maayan Strauss and Kerem Halbrecht. Both are studied architects and bring experience in the conception and realization of social projects from Europe, the Middle East and North America.
